Response to Michael Brown

Upon reflection, I feel that the recent US political events are most importantly, relevant to a believer to the extent of one’s own personal response of faith. Do I believe God’s prophets if truly He speaks through them?

It has been said that in these days, the wheat is being sifted from the chaff. Others opine that there are various types of believers; those who

1) don’t believe in the prophetic; the cessationists

2) think that Christians should not get involved in politics; the “Separation of Church & State”

3) are happily ignorant of current affairs of the nation or the world

In evaluating oneself, there are questions that perhaps should guide. The only crucial relevance is my obedience to the Lord

Did I hear from the Lord myself?

What did the Lord say regarding the prophets’ word?

Were there a plurality of voices prophesying the same thing?

What do I discern of the prophecies?

Does a prophetic word need to be fought for to be realised?

Does proclaiming a wrong word make one a false prophet?

How should I respond to a prophetic word?

How should I steward a prophetic word?

Should a prophet apologise if he believes it is a word from the Lord?

Is God concerned with His reputation?

As for Brown’s new article -

Is Michael Brown still in Egypt while his fellow believers are at the Red Sea?

Is he staring at the start of Obama’s term rather than Biden’s?

Was he praying with the millions during Obama’s term?

Has God not sent an answer to America’s prayer in an extended period of grace?

Did God not use pagan kings to accomplish his will?

If Trump is the answer from God, why would he not be the gift from the Giver?

Is it wrong to assume that many believers treat him as Saviour?

How does four more Trump years vulgarise an individual?

How is one’s personality, style or character judged in the light of grace?

How does a believer respond to a stolen election?

In comparing the number of aborted babies, why compare 24 years of Republican to 16 years of Democrat administrations? Also, is the party relevant?

I shudder to think that if I get it wrong, I will displease the Lord and forfeit my reward.
